First things first, check emails! Then, I blend my special beauty smoothie and head out for a hike at Temescal Canyon in the Pacific Palisades. Getting my workouts in prior to starting my daily work routine helps clear my head and calm my soul allowing me to stay focused throughout the day.
Why hair care? Out of the spectrum of beauty, what made you choose to create an organic hair care line?
I'm into all things beauty, so naturally I've always critiqued each and every product. After doing this over several years, I realized I've practically cultivated the perfect product essentials in my imagination. The only thing left was to realize each product..
What other areas of your life do you apply a clean beauty philosophy?
I try my best to keep everything clean- from diet, to skin care, to make up!
What are some standout ingredients you are using in Playa and why?
Lycopene, that we've extracted from tomatoes, which protects against sun exposure to the scalp and prevents color fading.
What makes Playa smell so good?!
The active ingredients of each products are a bit different, so each product fragrance takes a life of it's own!
C’mon, do you have a favorite product from the line?
Everyday Shampoo - it's the ONLY shampoo that doesn't dry out my hair or make it frizzy.

Tell us your idea of a perfect afternoon?
Surfing in at Little Dume in Malibu, then having wine with friends while watching the sunset!
What’s your go-to meal for your family?
- I love trying to recreate the most healthy versions of my favorite cheats! Right now, I'm into cauliflower crust pizza and mix of veggie toppings from my garden.
